Pamplona is Sanfermines, Hemingway, Camino but also...

To #NYT readers

Pamplona, what a City, Hemingway, Sanfermines, Camino...

Pamplona is the capital of Navarre prosperous Chartered Community, center of one of the first kingdoms in Christian Europe, a Kingdom that was the only moment in history (some centuries) where the Basque different languages (dialects) were united politically at both sides of Bidasoa River. For 1000 years the Pilgrims of the #Camino de Santiago have crossed this city...These days million of people watch on TV the running of the bulls, and 1 million come to the biggest and longest party of western hemisphere, thanks to Ernest #Hemingway, the #Sanfermines festival...

It is amazing the vigor and wellbeing of #Navarre (and also Basque Country besides) because, among many positives characteristics of both societies, governments and regions, of the special Rights on economy, taxes and administration freedom obtained since the beginning of Castilianization when Castilla and Aragon kingdoms conquered Navarre few years later than the Americas!
So, Spanish language arrives during early XVI century. Thus, in which language did the Navarre kingdom ruled?

It is well known about the dozens of the different Romance languages derived from Latin that developed under Roman civilization of southern Europe, and there was a Navarrese romance language together with the indigenous-native-aboriginal Navarrese branch of Basque language, the one that the first roman conquerors heard 2000 years ago in the humble human community of what is now Pamplona, a language very weird and different from other conquered peoples before across Europe.. They registered as 'Lingua Navarrorum'...

The first historical records of Euskera or #Basque in Navarre does not means that is the birth certificate of that archaic language, no, it is well accepted by a majority of non partial historians, anthropologist, linguistics, philologists, phonemics researchers, that, Basque language is a Paleolithic fossil language that still survive in Navarre, but also in French side of Basque Country (Iparralde: 'people of the North') and Spanish side (Hegoalde: people of the South').

The fact is, that we know in modern times about 7 different main branches of Basque language (Google it, this short article is not a thesis, please), of which there are yet real living people speaking 6 out of 7. #Roncal valleys Basque branch disappeared few decades ago and only persist in some songs and expressions of today's unified Basque language.

Basque language could be another unifying tool to understand Europe. If we apply ecological theories about centers of biodiversity (yes, I 'was' an ecologist in my former pre-expat life) which stayed that the center of dispersal for genetic flows among biological related families, genus and species is the one that actually contains the higher index of biodiversity of that phylogenetic group. So, we could sustain that Navarre and Basque countries (The Euskerlands I call it) are a surviving center of those hundreds of related languages of pre Indo European languages, the latter arrived 3500 years ago from Asia and developed fusing with indigenous ones: Germanic, Celtic, Latin, Slavic branches...

Anyone could pose the relation between Basque languages and the #Iberian languages across the Peninsula, but also across the 'Hexagon' (France) Aquitaine languages, the 'Boot' of Italy ancient languages like #Etruscan, or #Pictish of the 'Isles' of Britain, etc., because of two significative facts: i) there are not only 7 known branches of Basque language, but dozens of dialects, almost every valley got an argot and different words for different concepts and things to name, using Basque language, so we could walk on #Europe 4000 years ago and trade with a sort of #Esperanto!; ii) just help us to seek the 'fossil toponymic phonemes traces' among toponony of Europeans valleys, cities, mountains, rivers, lakes looking for 'ar' and 'ur' using our 'Arura' hypothesis of global dispersal of languages from #Africa...

Navarre also offers a new way we are trying to apply to all regions of Spain, but also applicable to every State/Country of Europe or the world: the liberty and independence of managing its own economy, taxes and administration known as the Chartered Rights (Forales in Spanish), and idea that could bring prosperity and happiness to every region pursuing a state of well being (the amazing thing is that Spanish politicians claim to retire these historical rights to Navarre and Basque Country instead of amplify it to all Spanish regions including convulsed #Catalonia...)

I can tell you more at the coffee shop where I write all my books for you, and for free, like I give the option to thousands of pilgrims and travelers reaching this Sanfermines famous square, the city hall square. This is the option, in a QR code, from which people can take it freely: https://mikel-free-books-links.blogspot.com/2016/02/mikel-free-books-links.html.

There are inside this tiny blog, our Arura project idea, in which all of you could help us, and also Egura Cooperation Trials Project, a Non Profit Global Initiative born at Huarte, Navarre and spreaded from the mentioned coffee shop. Egura 'only' wants to help the subtropical and tropical planet with #EasyWater & #EasyEnergy from the sea and the sun!

I need your help, also, in a creepy issue I am obligated to talk about.

During 4 years of excitement and challenges, being an expat, a new entrepreneurship (a coffee shop), a new me as a writer and as a supposed new global change maker (Egura Project)... the truth is that it has been a miracle to achieve those books and projects while an obscure/dark side of Pamplona's soul have affected our coffee shop, and thus the possible success of Egura, and all the virtuous projects we got...

Speaking frankly, if Pamplona major and city hall governments do not changes its attitude in the issue I have been reporting during 4 years without any justice but respecting the ones who break the laws (and common sense!), our coffee shop will disappear soon within all its linked projects...

... Pamplona permits unfair competition, intrusion, illegal activities of coffee shops without proper license nor toilet, thus causing economic harm, splitting of cheated customers going to Cafe's with no toilet, etc. Help us by reporting this, demanding answers to your embassies at Spain, doing boycott to these city leaders that does not act based on justice and fair treat to all, under equality and common rights and respect.

it is a matter of #GlobalPeace to us to survive Pamplona's unfair treatments... S.O.S.

See you soon at the City Hall Square, 5, Pamplona, Navarre

Sincerely yours, mikel de Elguezabal Mendez
